Does this convert every page?
Yes. Every page becomes a separate PNG with a numbered filename.
Is PNG better than JPG?
PNG is usually better for text, diagrams and flat graphics because it is lossless. JPG is usually smaller for photographs and scanned pages.
Why is the PNG file large?
PNG preserves pixels without lossy compression. Detailed or photographic pages can therefore be considerably larger than JPG versions.
Which quality should I choose?
Standard at 144 DPI works well for normal screens. High at 216 DPI preserves more fine detail at the cost of larger images and higher memory use.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
The PDF must be unlocked first. FileMint cannot render pages it cannot open.
