Frequently asked questions
Does deleting pages make the file smaller?
Usually yes, roughly in proportion to what you removed — the deleted pages and their images are dropped from the new file. Remaining pages are not re-compressed, so their quality is unchanged.
Can I get a deleted page back?
Not from the downloaded file, but your original is never modified. Reload the page, add the original again, and start over. This is why we never write over the file you opened.
What if I select every page?
The tool stops you. A PDF with zero pages can technically be written but will not open in any reader, so at least one page must survive.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The page previews and the deletion both run in your browser using your own processor. Nothing is transmitted — you can watch your browser's network tab and see for yourself.
How large a PDF can I work with?
Up to 50 MB. Documents up to 300 pages show full thumbnails; longer ones still work but display numbered placeholders instead of pictures, so your browser does not run out of memory.
Do links, bookmarks and form fields survive?
Content and annotations on the remaining pages come across. Links pointing at a page you deleted will no longer go anywhere, and document-level bookmarks are not preserved.
Can I keep only the selected pages instead?
Yes — there is a one-click option to invert the operation, or use the dedicated extract pages tool if that is what you came for.
Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?
Files with permission restrictions but no open password usually work. A PDF that asks for a password before it opens cannot be previewed or edited here — remove the password in your PDF reader first.
