Is it really free?
Yes. Merging PDFs here is free with no task limits and no watermark. The tool costs us nothing to run because the work happens on your device rather than on our servers.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDFs are read by the page and processed in your browser's memory. They are never sent over the network, so there is no copy of them anywhere but your own device. You can confirm this by opening your browser's network tab while you merge.
How many files can I merge, and how large?
Up to 20 files at a time, each up to 50 MB, with a combined total of 100 MB. These limits exist because everything is held in your browser's memory — going much beyond them risks the tab running out of memory, especially on phones.
Does merging reduce quality or compress anything?
No. Pages are copied from the originals without re-encoding. Text remains searchable and selectable, and images keep their original resolution. The merged file is roughly the size of the inputs added together.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Files with permission restrictions but no open password usually work. A PDF that asks for a password before it will open cannot be merged — remove the password in your PDF reader first, then come back.
What order will the pages appear in?
Exactly the order the files are listed in, top to bottom, with each document's pages kept together in their original sequence. Reorder the list with the arrow buttons before merging.
Are links, bookmarks and form fields preserved?
Page content, annotations and internal links are carried over. Document-level bookmarks are not, and interactive form fields can conflict when several documents use the same field names — worth checking the result if your PDFs contain fillable forms.
Do you keep or look at my documents?
We cannot. There is no upload, no account and no storage. Once you close or reload the page, the files are gone from memory and nothing remains.
